We offer you a 4-day tour of the heart of the forgotten Tristao Islands. The Tristao Islands off the coast
of Guinea owe their name to the Portuguese explorer named Nuno Tristao. The Tristao Islands are characterized
by stretches of sandbanks, mudflats, rocks, estuaries and mangrove forests. The Tristao Islands have been
included in the Ramsar Convention's List of Wetlands of International Importance since 1992. This Marine
Protected Area (MPA) is home to a large number of species including sea turtles, manatees, dolphins, crocodiles
and some bird species such as the brown fool that colonizes the Alcatraz Rock.
